Betsy Donovan Martin Coletta, 82, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Betsy was born on May 3, 1940. She treasured time with family and special friends including worship with her church family at North Vernon Church of the Nazarene and Bible study with the group at North Vernon Senior Housing. She was blessed by the wonders of God's creation and loved sharing those with everyone. Betsy enjoyed being a wife and mother and helping others. She also enjoyed reading, arranging flowers, cheering for the Colts and being a bit of a spitfire.
Betsy is survived by her children Beth Martin, Mike (Paula) Martin, Jennie Martin and Kathy Martin; her grandchildren: Sara (Blake) Hayden, Jed Swope, Dan (Jennifer) Swope, Matt (Chelsea) Martin, Holly (Trevor) Martin, Rachael Nelson (Jeremy Rose) and Erin Nelson; great-grandchildren: Connor, Cammie, Hadley, Declan and Thorsten; siblings: Mary Daily, Larry (Connie) Donovan, Tom (Jenny) Donovan and Gary (Barb) Donovan and the many friends she was blessed with during her life.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willis H. Martin, Jr., brother, Dan Donovan and nephew, Kevin Donovan.
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon, with scripture and closing prayer at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. Jim Terry.
The family requests that instead of flowers you consider making a donation in honor of Betsy to the North Vernon Church of the Nazarene, Southern Care Hospice or the Lymphoma/Leukemia Society.
