Betsy Hansen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Westgor Funeral Home - Neenah on Nov. 13, 2024.
On November 10, 2024, Betsy Ann Hansen, 81, went home to be with the Lord and is now in the arms of Jesus and surrounded by her beloved daughter Katie and grandson Nick who preceded her to their heavenly reward.
Betsy was born in Niagara Falls, NY on February 25, 1943 to parents Richard and Pat (Buckley) Billings. At age 2, her family moved to Neenah, WI where she lived until college. In eighth grade she met Charlie Hansen, the love of her life. She and Charlie were married on December 27, 1964. Betsy graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
She and Charlie spent 34 adventurous years with Kimberly-Clark and moved around the country to various states and locations. During this time, Betsy gave her life to Jesus, developed a devoted relationship with the Lord, and made many lifelong friends while also raising a family of three boys and a daughter.
Betsy brought life everywhere she went. She lived for Christ and all who knew her were blessed because of her incredible faith and love for Jesus. She was a great encourager, loved people deeply, and was a mentor to many. She was always involved in her church and served in many different ministries in every state she lived.
It's the hope of our salvation that carries us through this dark valley. Betsy's only desire was that all her friends and family would know the love of Christ and find salvation through Jesus. She will eagerly be awaiting the arrival of all who have placed their faith in Christ to spend an eternity with her in glory.
Betsy would not want us to be broken, grieving people. She would point us to Jesus and remind us of I Thessalonians 4:13-14, "We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Pat; and by her daughter, Katie Hubbard; and grandson, Nick Hansen.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie; her children: Ethan (Chris) Hansen, Ted (Denise) Hansen, Paul Hansen, son-in-law Norman (Kristy) Hubbard; her brother, Robert Billings; her grandchildren: Jack, Lauren, Michael (Sami), Luke, Tom (Maria), Elizabeth (Gabe), Christopher (Ella), Kayla (Michael), Daniel, Isaac, Rachel, Charles (Jena), Joe, Elizabeth; and her great-grandchildren: Lalo, Avayah, and Giovanni.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11 am at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oak Ridge Rd, Neenah, WI. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11 am with a lunch following the service.
All memorial gifts will go toward the Calvary Bible Church Youth Group mission trips and can be given to Calvary Bible Church (P.O. Box 799, Neenah, WI 54957-0799) with "Betsy Hansen Memorial" on the memo line.
