Gallatin, TN

Betsy Finley Hendricks, of Gallatin, TN passed away on Friday, August 29 th at the age of 91 at her home in Gallatin. Betsy was born in Liberty, SC to the late Hal and Mary Ellen Finley, of Liberty.

She is predeceased by her husband Doyle (Bud) Hendricks, Jr. of Gallatin.

Betsy is survived by a sister, Hayne Meyerson of Liberty, her children Libby Skeggs (Roy)of Joelton, TN, Linda Adcock (Ricky) of Brentwood, TN, and Hal Hendricks (Stacy) of Gallatin, and grandsons Ross Skeggs, and Jacob and Lucas Adcock.

Loving mother of Libby, Linda and Hal, her family was her world. The exemplary southern matriarch, one never left her home hungry or free of unsolicited advice. She was fiercely loyal and adored her late husband of 44 years and her three grandsons. Betsy enjoyed growing flowers, watching sports and managing her household. She will be missed.

Visitation is planned from 5:00-7:00 pm (CST) on Tuesday, September 2 nd, at Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin, 584 Nashville Pike. A graveside service will be held at West View cemetery in Liberty, SC on Thursday, September 4 th at 11:00 am (EST).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Betsy's memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: https//www.stjude.org.
