Charlene Havens, age 73, of Portland, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 6, 2026.
She was born on December 9, 1952, in Escondido, California. Charlene was known to be friendly, outgoing, and very caring. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
Charlene had a nurturing nature; she enjoyed her time working as a caretaker at an animal shelter and loved to have a house full of plants. Charlene was a very talented crafter. She was exceptional with a needle and thread; there was nothing she couldn’t sew and was also skilled with embroidery. She also created greeting cards with her husband and daughter to share with friends and family.
Charlene was an avid traveler with her husband, Gordon. They visited all 50 states and traveled overseas to Europe and Australia.
In her final days, Charlene was comforted being surrounded by her stuffed animals.
Charlene’s memory will be truly treasured, and she will be deeply missed.
Charlene Sue Havens is survived by her supportive husband of 53 years, Gordon Havens; daughter, Crystal Middleton; siblings, George William McCollum, Judy Kray, Lorene Cox, Glenda Lamberson, Dana McCollum, Elizabeth Lamberson, Deborah McCollum; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
