Bettie Bernice Rushing, 85, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on June 16, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on March 11, 1940 in Center, Texas.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk. St. Mansfield, LA 71052. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025 located at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage, Texas on Cotton Street with Bro. Thumper Miller to officiate. Honoring Bettie as pallbearers will be Travis Rushing, LaMichael Rushing, Desmond Hudson, Jr., Caleb Walker, Anthony Parish, and Scott Butler.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barney Rushing; and brother, Bobby Adams. Left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Ann Walker; sister, Audrey Pate; brothers, Billy Wayne Adams and Cecil Adams (Jeanette); grandchildren, Cecil Walker, Kimberly Rushing, and Felicia Rushing; great-grandchildren, Travis Rushing, LaMichael Rushing, Desmond Hudson, Jr., Laiyah Hudson, and Caleb Walker; great-great grandchildren, Kameron Rushing and Laney Shields.
