Betty Louise Andrews

Betty Louise Andrews, 92, passed from this life to the arms of Jesus on March 25, 2023. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 31, 1930, to LeRoy and Lois Grover.
At the age of 12 Betty became an organist for her Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. After high school she attended Stetson University where she met and married Glenn Andrews - a marriage that lasted over 70 years and produced two daughters, Janice and Becky.
Betty, as an accomplished pianist, organist, and Choir Director, served in churches located in Florida, Louisiana, Kentucky and Arkansas. Her loving leadership exposed countless individuals to her precious Lord and Savior-Jesus Christ. Her heart was especially drawn to children, and they dearly loved her. Until she retired in 1990, Betty taught piano lessons in her home, to hundreds of adults and children at every location she lived.
She was totally involved in planning and constructing the Chapel of the Cross, in Holiday Island, Arkansas, and in launching the church that uses it for worship.
Her love and compassion for people led her to actively engage in the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission and Guild, the Eureka Springs Wellness Foundation, Meals on Wheels and the Holiday Island Fire Auxiliary. However, her love was not limited to people. She loved animals, birds, flowers, picturesque sunsets - - all of God's creations. Her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes lit up a room.
Her life could be largely defined by a veterinarian note attached to flowers he sent her after she brought an emaciated dog to him that she found in the park. The note read: "Because you cared".
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved granddaughter, Linsey Price. Survivors include her husband, children-Janice Andrews of Irving, TX, Becky Price (Bill) of Colleyville, TX, and granddaughter Courtney Ware (Camron) of Dallas, TX and her cousin Mary Ann Gore (Dick) of Warner Robins, GA.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Holiday Island Baptist Church. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Holiday Island Baptist Church, 14 Stateline Drive, Holiday Island. Interment will follow at Eureka Springs Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Holiday Island Baptist Church, PO Box 3129, Holiday Island, AR 72631, attn: Faith Promise Missions.
