Betty Lou Anthony, 95, of Columbia, MO, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Family and friends are invited to Betty's Life Celebration service at 12:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home with visitation from 10am until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Betty was born to Jethro and Anna Grace Dawson on February 15, 1930, in Bevier, MO. The family moved to Thomas Hill in 1936 where she attended Thomas Hill Consolidated School for 12 years, graduating in 1948.

On August 18, 1948 she married Robert Leroy Anthony, Sr. and to that union three boys, "Leroy", Mark and Carl were born. She and Bob were married for 36 years until his death in 1984.

She was a homemaker until 1963 in which she starting working for the University of Missouri. She worked two years in the Emergency Room and until the time of her retirement in 1992 she worked in the Urology Department. Prior to her retirement she traveled throughout the US and Canada and made one trip to Costa Rica. After retirement she did extensive traveling including a trip to the Holy Land (Isreal and Palestine), Europe, including England, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, France, and several mission trips to Mexico.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband and two younger brothers.

She is survived by her three sons, Robert "Leroy" (Rhonda) Anthony, Jr., Mark Anthony and Carl (Kathy) Anthony. She is also survived by her three granddaughters Jessica (Rusty) Dutton, Aeron (Philip) Varvil, and Jennifer (Jonathan) Gentzel; nine great grandchildren Brittney (Cody) Prentzler, Haleigh (Carson) Guest, Tanner Dutton, Kaimen Smith, Daniel Facklam, Raleigh Dutton and Bella Farrar and three great-great grandsons Maverick Guest, Kayce Prentzler, and Dawson Prentzler (due Mar 2026) and one great-great granddaughter, Carter Guest (due Dec 2025). She is also survived by Bill Sites, a loyal friend and companion.

In lieu of flowers, Betty requested that each individual make a donation to their charity of choice.
