Betty Ann Centonze

Betty Ann Centonze, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on October 4, 1933, in Buffalo, NY, to the late Irwin and Grace McCarthy, the family moved to Bristol Borough, PA when Betty Ann was a young child. She remained in Bristol Borough for more than 75 years.

Betty Ann graduated from Bristol High School in 1951 and soon after devoted her life to the cherished roles of wife, mother, and homemaker. She married the late Augustine Centonze in 1956.

In her professional life, Betty Ann served as a Civil Clerk for the Bucks County District Justice Court in Bristol Borough for more than 25 years and enjoyed working part-time at Bell Bridal in Bristol, PA.

Betty Ann resided with and is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Ann Entwisle (Frank) and cousin, John Francis Milbrodt of Yardley, PA. She was a proud and doting Mom-Mom to Jayme Leigh Montgomery (Sean), and GG to William Augustine and George Thomas Montgomery, Chatham, NJ. Betty Ann is also survived by her daughter, Robin Ann Centonze of Yardley; brother, John Irwin McCarthy, Enterprise, AL; son, Robert John Centonze (Lynn) of Chadds Ford, PA; and granddaughters, Pamela and Amanda Centonze, Chadds Ford, PA.

Betty Ann's interests were simple yet profound. Her proudest moment was being a Mom-Mom to Jayme Leigh Montgomery, and she enjoyed sharing her love of clothes, shoes, and jewelry shopping with her granddaughter. She also had an unmatched love for her dogs, finding joy and companionship in their presence, and sharing her dinner every night with the family dogs, Holly and Dasher, who were always at her side. Later in life, Betty Ann enjoyed summers spent in Sea Isle City, NJ, with her family filled with free concerts, fresh seafood, great ice cream, and cherished family memories.

A private memorial service will be held in Sea Isle City, NJ
