Betty Chapman

Betty Inez Chapman, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Born on May 1, 1934, in Tryon, North Carolina, Betty lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. Betty cherished reading her Bible, talking about Jesus with anyone she met, and expressing her love through cooking and sharing meals with family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Chapman; her sons, Tony Ballew and Gary Ballew; and her daughter, Shirley Chapman.

She is survived by her son, Chuck W. Chapman (Brigitte); her grandchildren, Caleb Jordan, Alex Chapman (Katie), and Lindsey Chapman; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Betty will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her warm spirit, and the love she poured into her family and home. Her life was a testament to her devotion to the Lord and to those she held dear.

A graveside service will be held in Graceland East Memorial Park on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tim Porter.
