Betty E Clark, 74 of rural Richland peacefully passed away at Stone Cottage in Sigourney on October 18, 2025. In accordance with her wishes her body has been cremated and a private graveside service will be held at the Richland Friends Cemetery. Memorials in Betty' s honor to Essence of Life Hospice may be mailed to 1095 Hwy 1 and 78, Richland, IA 52585. Friends may leave online condolences at cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com
Born on May 3, 1951 in rural Richland, IA, Betty was the youngest daughter of Jerry and Manie (Aldridge) Clark. She shared her childhood with five other siblings in rural Richland, IA. She lived her whole life on the farm until approximately 3 years ago.
Betty's early life was shaped by strong family bonds and the values instilled by her parents. After graduating from high school she remained on the farm & enjoyed the simple life. She was a caregiver to many. She was a childcare provider to several neighbor children. She provided care to her parents until their passing. She went to get her CNA and worked at the care center in Wayland, IA until she could no longer.
Betty's memory lives on in the hearts of many. She is lovely remembered by several nieces & nephews and countless friends will forever hold her in their hearts. Along with the children she helped shape to who they are today. One of which became her caregiver, Mitchell Ehrenfelt.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Jerry & Manie, her siblings Mildred, Geraldine, Mabel, Wilma & Merle and her loyal companion, her dog- Patches.
