Betty Joan Cloughly

Betty Joan Cloughly, born on August 24, 1950, in Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, in Buda, Texas. She was the beloved daughter of Hamp and Louis Henry and grew up alongside her three sisters.
Betty shared a life filled with love and companionship with her husband and best friend, David Ayers. She was a proud mother of her four children: Bryan Cloughly, Kelley Cloughly, Bobby Furlow, and Eric Ayers. Known affectionately as "Maw Maw," she cherished her role as a grandmother to her firstborn granddaughter, Krista Elder, as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them deeply.
After dedicating two decades of service to the City of Austin Fire Department, Betty retired to enjoy life's simpler pleasures. She was known for her vibrant spirit and boundless energy. Betty found joy in shopping and staying active but most treasured the moments spent with her family.
Betty will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
