Betty Cottle Obituary
2/26/1940 - 1/15/2026
Betty was born in Horry County, South Carolina to the late Mary Emily Hinson and Lloyd Sessions. She lived in Conway until she married her first husband, Delvin Dean Kohn and moved to Charleston, SC where she spent the remainder of her life.
She is survived by her sister, Patsy Lawless, her daughters, Karen Byrd and Angela Compton, her grandchildren, Robby Stewart and Jericka Byrd, her great grandchildren, Madison Henry, Christopher Compton and Sierra Stephens, her great-great granddaughter Kehlani Compton and her stepdaughter Tammy Erickson. She met and married the love of her life, Everett Cottle and they were married for 22 years until his passing.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Everett, her daughter Colleen Kohn, her brother Robert Lloyd Sessions, her mother Mary Emily Hinson and Stepfather Harold Hinson, her stepson Terry Cottle and granddaughter Rachel Compton.
Betty will be laid to rest January 26, 2026 at Memorial Gardens in Mt. Pleasant. Meal will be provided after the service for all who attend.
