Betty Jean Cripps, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on May 12, 1927, in Wyandotte, Michigan, she lived a life full of warmth, love, and dedication to her family and interests. She spent her final days surrounded by loved ones in Taylor, Michigan.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Cripps, and her parents, Frederick and Viola Waters. Her memory will be forever cherished by her children: Don (Marie) Cripps, Roger (Gayle) Cripps, and Nancy (David) Bonmon. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through her grandchildren: Roger, Aaron, Douglas, Steven, Chad, Sara, and Todd, her great-grandchildren: Gracelyn, Hannah, Lennon, Penny Sue, Lakely, and Dallas and her many loving nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Betty found joy in the simple pleasures. She was an avid knitter and crocheter, crafting beautiful pieces that were treasured by all who received them. She delighted in the challenge of word searches and enjoyed peaceful walks, often strolling through Southland Mall. One of her proudest accomplishments was walking the Mackinac Bridge, a testament to her spirit and determination.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Beaumont Hospice, reflecting Betty's caring nature and the compassion she extended to those around her.

Betty Jean Cripps will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
