Betty Cudnohowski Obituary
Betty Helen Cain was born on March 18, 1933, the daughter of Frank and Edith (Benton) Cain in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Betty married the late George Cudnohowski on October 21, 1950, at Christ Baptist Church in Milwaukee. Throughout her life, Betty worked a variety of jobs, but she was most passionate about lovingly raising her family and tending to the 70-acre farm she and her husband owned.
Betty had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, finding joy in gardening and the simple beauty of flowers. During nearly 10 years in Venice, Florida, she especially cherished walks along the beach, often collecting seashells along the shore. A devoted animal lover, she supported local rescues and adopted several dogs from the humane society. Creative and talented, Betty made beautiful quilts by hand and took great delight in baking and decorating cakes, especially for weddings. She found her greatest joy in time spent with family and shared many memorable trips with her son Jeff, including visits to Amish communities. A passionate reader, Betty enjoyed books about angels animals, and true life stories. She regularly turned to the Bible for comfort and inspiration.
Betty is survived by her 10 children: Rosanna (Glen) Fink, Sandra Smith, Kathleen Mallach, Susan Swiedom, Cindy Benno, Mary (Steve) Loritz, Jeffrey Cudnohowski, Lori Sharrow, Jess (Megan) Cudnohowski, and Jennifer Freeburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George Cudnohowski; parents; four grandchildren; a sister; and three sons-in-law.
A private family burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown, WI. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to the Humane Society of Waukesha. Hafemeister Funeral Home is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hafemeisterfh.com.
