Betty Lynn Dial, 70, of Colbert, Georgia, passed away on February 14, 2025. Born on December 3, 1954, in Augusta, Georgia, she was the only child of the late Malvin and Betty Spence.
A dedicated member of the Pilots Club of Madison County, Georgia, for 30 years, Betty served as president on two occasions. She had a passion for scrapbooking and enjoyed collecting snowmen, angels, and lighthouses. Betty committed 40 years of her career to Athens Regional Medical Center, where she was valued for her dedication and service.
Betty was an active member of Moons Grove Baptist Church, where she cherished her role as the Mother of Project Serve Youth for many years. Christmas was her favorite time of year, when she took great joy in giving gifts to everyone around her.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Moons Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Dial officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
Betty is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Dial, who fondly referred to her as his “Sunshine”; her devoted son, John Dial, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; as well as her beloved dogs, Porkchop “Porkie” and Zoey.
