Southbridge – Betty L. (Walls) Edwards, aged 79, of Pleasant Street, peacefully passed away at UMASS-Harrington Hospital in Southbridge on September 21st, 2025.
Betty leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: her son, Joseph Tella of Southbridge, and her daughters, Theresa Chupp of Delaware, Tina Doyle of Putnam, Anna Tella of Salsbury, Jennifer Parmlee of Southbridge, and Jessica Foss of Lewiston, Maine. She is also fondly remembered by her siblings, including her brothers Robert Smith and Jack Walls, and her sister Ruth Roberts of Indiana. She is also survived by 23 grand kids, 52 great grand kids, and 10 great-great grandkids, who will continue her legacy.
Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Tella, her second husband, Earland Edwards, and her beloved son, Louis Tella, who passed away in 2017.
Born to Charles and Phoebe (Smith) Walls in Dover, Delaware, Betty completed her education at Caesar Rodner High School in Camden, Delaware. She began her professional journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant, providing compassionate care in nursing homes before dedicating herself to being a loving homemaker for her family.
In her leisure time, Betty found joy in playing computer games. Above all, family meant everything to her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the calling hours for Betty on Friday, September 26, from 6 to 8 PM at the Belanger Bullard Funeral Home, located at 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge.
