Betty Ann Edwards

Betty Ann Edwards, 81, was born on December 5, 1943, in Church Point, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Crowley, Louisiana. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph Roger Bellard and Cinderella Bellard.

Betty Ann was a devoted mother and is survived by her children: Cathy Meyers and her husband Noland, Payton Edwards and his wife Meagan, Lance Edwards, Marla Edwards, and Louis Joseph Edwards III. She was the cherished grandmother of three and great-grandmother to six. Betty Ann also leaves behind her loving siblings: Mary June Kennerson, Nelda Bernard, Nora Leroy, Anna Joyce Lazard, and Dessy Hawkins, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will remember her fondly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis J. Edwards II; her parents, Joseph and Cinderella Bellard; and her siblings, A.J. Samuel Bellard and Barbara Gatson.

Betty Ann will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on through those she touched during her lifetime. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 18th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., a Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m., in the Magnolia Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1100 St. Mary Street, Elton, Louisiana. Mass of Christian Burial by Father Jose Vattakunnel. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
