Betty Lou Elizabeth Miller, 83, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 surrounded by family and friends.
Betty was truly one of a kind - a woman who sparkled inside and out. She loved all things shiny and glamorous, from her jewelry to her fashion, and everyone who knew her can picture that unmistakable "Bammaw style." When she walked into a room, you felt her presence - her humor, her warmth, and her light filled every space she entered.
She shared her life with her devoted husband and soulmate, Travis Miller, and built a legacy rooted in love, laughter, and faith. She was a proud mother to Brad Jenckes (wife Deanna), David Luse, Sherry Cunningham, Emily Sloan (husband Tommy), and bonus kids Brandon Miller, Brian Miller, and Briana Miller.
She was Bamaw or Bammaw to her beloved grandchildren:
Robert Acosta (wife Breanna), Tiffany Acosta, Courtney Richmond (husband Sean), the late Justin Wilkerson, Christi Needham (husband Jeff), Amy Sloan (wife Taylor), Destiny Weatherford, Kika Sloan, Razzle Sloan, Zach Jenckes, and Joshua Jenckes.
Her love and legacy also live on through her great-grandchildren:
Madison,Jayce, Kaybri, Landon, Vaden, Brantley, Bennett,Miles and Jade.
She is also survived by her brother; Ken Box and Donna of Texas; Her nieces, Kathy Finn of Texas, Connie Cronin of Missouri, Sarah Box of Texas. As well as her beloved dogs, Lucy and Minnie.
She's preceded in death by her parents; Thomas Shannon Hughes and Opal Marene Box; 1 grandson; Justin Wilkerson; 1 niece, Linda Jean Rogers; numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.
She lived a life full of joy and creativity. She had an incredible talent for music and loved playing the piano since she was a child. Her famous homemade cinnamon rolls were a family favorite, and her laughter could brighten anyone's day. She was a legal secretary for many years, a lover of yellow roses,Betty Boop, yellow butterflies, hummingbirds, and of course, Diamonds. If you ever visited her home you could count on her to have a Coca-Cola ready - diet or regular.
Her church home was Eastwood Assembly of God, where she found community, faith, and lifelong friendship. Though she lived hours away and wasn't able to attend in person, she faithfully watched the services online. Pastor Rick Stout and his family held a special place in her heart and were considered her own family.
She adored her dogs, loved to dance, and never shied away from being silly just to make someone smile. Betty was also deeply passionate and proud of her sobriety, a journey that showed her strength, faith, and resilience - inspiring everyone who knew her.
In her final months, Betty was so thankful for all the beautiful letters she received toward the end of her journey. She looked forward to new ones each day and was truly blessed by every single one. The love and encouragement poured into those words brought her great comfort and joy.
Before her passing, Bammaw made sure her heart was right with the Lord and that she was ready for her journey home. With peace in her spirit, she knew she would be on her way to Heaven - a place where her sparkle will never fade.
Above all, Betty was Bammaw to all - kind, giving, funny, and unforgettable. Her sparkle, both literal and spiritual, will forever shine in the hearts of her family and friends.
Her funeral will be at Eastwood Assembly of God Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 10am with Pastor Rick Stout officiating, and Eric Stout presenting the Eulogy. Pallbearers; Philip Busse, Daren Stout, Bill Robertson, Jeff Needham, Jayce Needham, Landon Rowland
