Betty Glisson Obituary
Betty Jane Reeves Glisson, 91, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 30, 2025 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held following the service at Parkhill Cemetery.
Betty was born January 28, 1934 in Columbus, GA to the late T.S. Reeves and Addie B. Davidson Reeves. She was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby F. Glisson and son, Mark R. Glisson, brother Travis Samson Reeves, sisters Jean Taylor, Mary Helen Vann, Peggy Wilhelm and Glenda Jones.
Betty is survived by daughter, Kathy Glisson Jordan (Ronnie) of West Point, GA; son, Mike Glisson (Susan) of Dadeville, AL; grandchildren, Justin Jordan of West Point, GA, Reeve Glisson of Columbus, GA, Kendall Lilly (Andrew) of Decatur, AL, Tanner Glisson of Jacksonville, AL, Garrison Mitchell of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren, Wade Lilly, Banks Lilly, and Ella Lilly all of Decatur, AL; sister, Sue Stiner of Knoxville, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
Flowers will be accepted, those so desiring may make contributions to a foundation supporting diabetes, cerebral palsy or a Cancer Society.
