Betty Lou Hare, 86, of Saint Charles, Michigan, Died on February 28, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in Saginaw, on November 28, 1937, to Stanley and Margaret (Bennett) Sample.
Betty was a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She was known for her green thumb, and her beautiful garden. Betty found great joy in canning her crops. Her hobbies also included sewing, reading, and playing cribbage, activities she enjoyed with friends and family alike. She was married to her beloved husband Charlie Hare on June 2, 1956, who preceded her in death in 2011.
She is survived by Children, Amanda (John) Tenney, Charles (Linda) Hare, and Margaret Hare; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a handful of great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Margaret Sample; her husband, Charlie Hare; Son John Hare and her siblings, Madonna Lambert and Larry Sample.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at McGeehan Funeral Home in St. Charles. A Time of Sharing will follow at 6:00 PM.
The family would like to thank her granddaughter, Mindy Louise and Elara Caring hospice nurse, Amanda for their special care of Betty.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the families wishes.
