Betty J. Higley, 65, of New Brighton, PA, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at UPMC Passavant.
Born on January 4, 1960, in Ellwood City, Betty was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and a compassionate caregiver throughout her life. She was employed at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph, where she touched many lives with her kindness and dedication.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her cherished dog, Kota Lynn; her brothers Larry (Donna) Higley and Jerry (Loretta) Higley; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and a host of wonderful friends and coworkers who meant so much to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald L. Higley, Sr., and Cyrilla (Young) Higley; her sister, Sharon Miller; her brother, Donald L. Higley, Jr.; and her nephew, William "Billy" Miller, Jr.
Betty's love for her family and her compassionate spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A memorial service will be held for all family and friends in remembrance of both Betty and Donald Higley on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Saint John's Burry's Church, 1835 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074, followed by a celebration of life dinner at the American Legion, 1341 PA-68, Rochester, PA 15074.
