Betty Carolyn Hill, 82, of Vilonia, Arkansas, went to be with her Savior on Friday, August 25, 2023. A graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, she taught in the Cabot School District for almost 30 years, and she loved educating young people. She was a faithful servant to her Lord and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She loved music, science, reading, and was always interested in learning.
Betty was born on September 8, 1940, in Russellville, Arkansas, to Herbert and Thelma Louise Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband of 62 years, Rev. Melburn Levurn “Pint” Hill, Sr.. She is survived by her son, Melburn L. Hill, Jr. (Patricia), of Lonoke, Arkansas, her daughter, Carolyn Wilson of Madison, Mississippi, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many extended family members.
Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke, Arkansas, will be handling the service arrangements. Both visitation and the funeral service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 501 N. Lincoln Street, Cabot, Arkansas. Visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM with funeral services at 10:00AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
Interment will be at Sumner Cemetery, Cabot Arkansas.
