Betty Jeanette Honea, wife of the late Fant J. Honea, passed away on April 9, 2024. She was born on May 30, 1932, in Central, SC
 
Betty dedicated many years to working in management at Cannon Textile mill. She was known for her loving and caring personality. In her free time, Betty enjoyed cooking, reading books, traveling, and playing board games. However, her greatest joy came from attending her church and cherishing moments with her loved ones.
 
Betty's proudest accomplishments revolved around her family. She had a profound impact on those around her and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
 
Betty is survived by her son, Roger Roper (Shelley); daughters, Jenny H. Elliott (Bob) and Wanda H. McLane; brother, Odie James; grandchildren, Chad Roper (Melanie), Camille Mondelli (Matt), Jay Elliott (Rebecca), Jessica Elliott, Alicia Kelley (Jonathon), Matthew McLane (Jessa), and Ten Great-Grandchildren.
 
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Odie and Mary James; son, Donnie Ray Roper; Many siblings who she loved dearly; and first husband Robert Ray Roper.
 
Services to honor and celebrate Betty's life will be held at Duckett - Robinson Funeral Home in Central, SC. A visitation will take place on April 12th from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
 
Donations may be made in Honor of Betty to Cannon Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund.
