Betty (aka "Sister") often recalled when living in East Tupelo she and her brother James playing outside with Elvis Aaron Presley when they were all very young. Later in life, Betty met the love of her life, Joseph A. Kruchinsky (aka "Ski") while he was serving in the US Air Force at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS.

They were married upon completion of his military commitment and began a unique journey that took them to Turkey, where 1st son Joey was born, and to Germany, where 2nd son Jimmy was born. After 3 years of traveling to several countries in Europe, the family of four boarded an ocean liner in the Netherlands and sailed across the Atlantic Ocean to New York City to relocate back to the USA.

Betty and her family lived in several locations once back in the USA including - New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rochester New York, Ft. Worth Texas, Penfield, New York and finally settling in Webster New York for the long term. They traveled extensively throughout the USA and Canada, enjoying rented motor homes and eventually owning their own in retirement.

Betty and Ski enjoyed life-long friendships with so many people from all their journeys and were truly thankful and grateful for them. Betty annually won the award for the worlds' greatest Mom, according to her sons.
