Betty Jo Lindamood of Lindale, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 92. Betty was born in Lindale on March 15, 1934, to Don and Reba Baldwin. She spent her childhood years in Lindale and graduated from Lindale High School in the Class of 1951. After graduation, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Dallas, Texas. Betty met Ray Lindamood when he was visiting Dallas in 1953. They fell in love and were married later that same year. Ray and Betty Lindamood enjoyed their 59th wedding anniversary prior to losing Ray in 2012.

Betty was employed for over 20 years with J. C. Penney's Department Store. She started by designing window displays. She was so well respected and liked by upper management, fellow employees, and customers that she rose through the ranks to become Assistant Store Manager of the Penney's store in Athens, Texas.

Betty Lindamood is survived by her son, Steve Lindamood and daughter-in-law, Susan, of Houston, and her son, Bryan Lindamood and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Lindale. She is survived by her grandchildren, Darren Lindamood and wife, Anna, of Houston, Shannon Runzheimer and husband, Dan, of Houston, Sydney Lindamood and Jonathan Davis, of Beaufort, S.C., Kyle Lindamood, of Athens, Kassie Smith and husband Matthew, of Lubbock, and Luke Lindamood and wife, Grace, of Augusta, GA. She is survived by her great-granddaughters, Adair Lindamood, Olivia Davis, Rachel Runzheimer, and Perry Lindamood and her great-grandson, James Runzheimer. She is also survived by her brothers, Arthur Baldwin of Lindale, Benny Baldwin of Sapulpa, OK, and her sister, Linda McAnally, of Whitehouse.

Betty Lindamood was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lindamood, her parents, Don and Reba Baldwin, her brothers, Bob Baldwin, Buster Baldwin, Billy Ray Baldwin, James Baldwin, and Charles (Scooter) Baldwin.

Betty was a devoted wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered with fondness for her loving nature towards her family and friends.

Family and friends will honor Betty at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in the Malakoff Cemetery at a private burial.
