It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Glen Hornbuckle, who peacefully departed this world on March 29, 2026, in his beloved hometown of Winnsboro, Texas. Born on July 8, 1958, Michael spent his life in this vibrant community, with brief years in Sulphur Springs .He loved his hometown and shared many cherished memories there.

Michael is survived by his loving sister, Margie Bright of Pickton, Texas, and brother-in-law Johnny Grubbs of Mineola, Texas. His legacy will live on through his three devoted nieces: Shana Porter of Blodgett, Texas; Misty Jones and her husband Nathan Jones of Lindale, Texas; and Jayda Bell and her husband Waylon Bell of Sulphur Springs, Texas. One of Michael's greatest loves in life was being (UNCLE MIKE). He was also a proud uncle to many great nieces and nephews who brought him immense joy.

Michael will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him, but especially by those who await him in Heaven-his parents, Willie Mae Hornbuckle and Deryl Hornbuckle, sister Debbie Grubbs, brother- in-law Bob Bright, and nieces Tara Taylor and Deanna Hooten. We find solace in the thought of a beautiful reunion, filled with love and cherished memories, as he joins those who have gone before him.

In celebration of Michael's life, a graveside service will be held at Smyrna Cemetery on April 2, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory, sharing stories and love as we reflect on a life lived with compassion and kindness.

Uncle Mike, you will be deeply missed but forever held in our hearts. Rest in peace.
