Betty Anders, a cherished mother and beloved friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on July 28, 1941, Betty lived a life full of joy, love, and unwavering faith.
A woman of great faith and warmth, Betty was known for her spunky personality and engaging spirit. She had a remarkable ability to connect with others, often bringing a smile to those around her with her great sense of humor. Betty embraced every opportunity to gather with family, particularly enjoying the lively moments spent by her pool in years passed during family gatherings, where countless memories were made amidst laughter and love.
Her interests and hobbies were as vibrant as her personality. Betty took great pleasure in traveling and experiencing new places. She had an enduring love for country music, movies, and shopping. Her passion for the outdoors was evident in her dedication to her yard, where she found solace and happiness. Betty also enjoyed game nights, particularly playing checkers and progressive rummy, which served as a testament to her competitive yet fun-loving nature.
Betty's proudest accomplishment was being an excellent mother to her children. She dedicated her life to nurturing them, instilling in them a deep knowledge of the Lord and the values that guided her own life.
She adored her husband Bill and treasured the time they had together. A beautiful love they shared, many memories made that will always be treasured and held dear.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Upchurch and Jewell Newbury; her late husband of 63 years, John Neal McFadden Sr.; her siblings, Louise, Earl, Edward, Billy, and Edsel, great granddaughter, Lily Star.
She is survived by her loving husband Bill Anders; her children, Joe W. (Lucy) McFadden Sr., Debbie (Rick) McAlister, and John Neal McFadden Jr.; brother, Wayne (Alberta) Francis; 8 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren as well as many other family members and close friends.
Family will receive friends during a visitation on November 15, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Northland Cathedral, located at 101 NW 99th St, Kansas City, MO 64155. With graveside following at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery located at, 801 NW 108th Street Kansas City, Missouri 64155
As we remember Betty Anders, let us carry forward her legacy of faith, humor, and love—qualities that have touched the lives of so many. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
