Judy Dingus joined her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2026.

Judy Denise Oehm Dingus was born on August 14, 1958 to Ray and Marilyn Oehm in Marysville, KS. The oldest of 4 children, she naturally took on a nurturing role and love for kids. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1976, where she was a member of Kayettes, mat maids, mixed chorus and flag corps. She attended York College in Nebraska for 2 years and then Oklahoma Christian College, where she got a degree in social work. It was here that she met her future husband Roger Dingus. They were wed at the Marysville church of Christ on August 17th, 1985. Judy worked for 8 years as a social worker in Oklahoma City. Shortly after they were married, Roger got a job in Kansas City and they moved to Liberty, MO, where they raised a family and became lifelong members of the Liberty church of Christ.

While their 3 kids were small, Judy stayed home and provided in home daycare for many children who adored her. As her own children grew older, Judy took a job at her "home away from home," the Liberty church of Christ, as the church secretary for 23 years. Even after "retiring" she spent many hours a week serving the church. She also carried her love for children even further as she was passionate about teaching children about Jesus and his love for them. She taught children's Bible school classes since the age of 13 right up until she no longer could. She has planned VBS for decades, helped write curriculum for the entire children's ministry, and never missed an opportunity to listen to a child.

Of all her roles, perhaps grandma was her favorite of all. She adored her own 3 grandchildren and had countless other "grandchildren" through the years.

Judy is survived by her husband Roger of 40 years, her parents Raymond and Marilyn Oehm, siblings Janet (Dan) Hooyer, Ray Jr (Donna) Oehm, Jim (Arlene) Oehm, children Kristen (Brandon) Nelson, Kari Dingus, and Kyle (Abby) Dingus, and grandkids Rhys (age 8), Liv (age 4) and Felicity (age 1).

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 at the Liberty Church of Christ 1401 Glenn Hendren Drive Liberty, MO 64068. Private burial will be at Terrace Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Judy requested a donation to the Liberty Church of Christ.
