Betty McGregor Obituary

She was born on February 6, 1941, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Bertha Cunningham Duke and Jessie Duke. She retired after seventeen years from Tyson Foods. She was a lover of animals, enjoyed feeding deer, and loved her pets. She made sure to feed anyone that was a guest in her home. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Ann Tatum; brothers, Tom Duke, Jerry Duke, Bobby Duke, and Bo Duke; and her sisters, Patricia Garrison, Brenda Ware, and Beverly Ann Lopez.
Her survivors include her husband of fifty years, Eddie McGregor; daughters, Linda Alexander and Candace McGregor, both of Madisonville; brothers, Rue Duke of St. Charles, KY, and Jimmy (Faye) Duke of Utica, KY; sister, Sherry (Frank) Murphy of Michigan; grandchildren, James (Brandy) Alexander and Kandra McGregor; great-grandchildren, James Waylon Alexander, Jeremiah McGregor, Laniah McGregor, and Jerrell McGregor; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Fleming officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.
