Betty Ledwell Paseur, a beloved figure to all who knew her, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2025, at Brookdale Assisted Living, Robinwood, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 5, 1931, in Gaston County, NC, Betty led a life filled with love, dedication, and hard work.
For over 30 years, Betty proudly served as the General Manager for Mary Jo's Cloth Store, where she not only cultivated a successful career but also formed lasting relationships with her work family. She found immense joy in the time spent with her family, cherishing the memories made along with her colleagues.
Betty's nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life. She had a passion for working in her yard, tending to her flowers, and exploring various crafts–her hobbies reflected her creativity and love for beauty in everyday life. Friends and family alike cherished her baking, which brought warmth and sweetness to countless gatherings.
Betty was a devoted member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, embodying the values of faith and community throughout her life. She took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren..
She is survived by her children, Jeff Paseur (Becky), Susan Bradford, and Cindy Johnson (David); eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her brother Bill Ledwell (Bennie).
Betty's passing marks the end of an era for her family and friends, but she will be remembered fondly by those whose lives she touched. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alvin Claude Ledwell and Vera Mae Price Ledwell, her husband of 53 years, Clyde Paseur, her son Randy Paseur, granddaughter Karen Hubanks, son-in-law Gary Bradford, and her brother Wade Ledwell.
Betty's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, yet remembered with every story shared and every memory cherished.
Friends and family will receive friends at the visitation on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 2:00 PM, both held at St Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 531 Hardin Rd, Dallas, NC 28034.with Dr. John Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Matt Wallace, Tommy Rhyne, Patrick Rhyne, Daniel Kummerle and Andrew Hubanks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Angels, 6600 Wilkinson Blvd., Belmont, NC 28012 or St Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 531 Hardin Rd, Dallas, NC 28034.
