Betty Patzwald, age 100, Fall Creek, WI, died Sunday, August 17th, 2025 at Guardian Angels on the Lake in Elk River, MN.
Betty, daughter of Henry and Vida Swanke Patzwald, was born April 25, 1925 in Fall Creek, Wisconsin. Betty grew up in Fall Creek, attending school there and graduating from Fall Creek High School. After her graduation, she worked for the ammunition plant and U.S. Rubber in Eau Claire. Later, she began employment with Dr. F.F. Zboralske in Fall Creek and continued working there until her retirement. She previously owned the Patzwald Tavern in Fall Creek.
She participated in many activities in the church and community. She took great enjoyment in her yard: feeding her birds and tending to her many flowers. She was an 80-year member of the Fall Creek Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her niece Brenda Jungerberg Sagan (Guenther) of Elk River, MN and her nephew Mark Jungerberg (Marie) of Fountain City, WI. Great nieces and nephews are Kassea Sagan Boche (Daniel), Karl (Jessica) and Kurran (Kimberly) Sagan, and Amy (Eric) Acoula and Laura (Cory) Baker. She will be remembered by her special friend Wally Moucha. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Patzwald Jungerberg, and brother-in-law Clarence (Tess) Jungerberg.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at St. James Trinity Church, 305 S. State St., Fall Creek, WI with Pastor Justin Arnold officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Trinity Cemetery in Fall Creek.
