Betty “Pynese” Peele, 93, of Lima, Oh passed away at 5:11 pm, Saturday June 1, 2024 at Saint Rita’s Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held Thursday June 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson NC 27896. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2800 Nash St N, Wilson NC 27896.
The family will receive friends at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson NC 27896, on Thursday June 6, 2024, from 1-2 pm.
She was born July 10, 1930 in Fremont, NC to Betty Langley Barnes and James E. Barnes. Betty spent a Beautiful life as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother to her family and loved taking care of those around her. She took pride in her many years of work with the State of North Carolina and enjoyed traveling after retirement.
Betty is survived by her son Richard Hainey (Bonnie); grandchildren, Richard Hainey, Jr. (Carrie), Sherri Sasser (Frank), Chad Coley (Beth), Wendy O’Neil (Tim), Toby Coley (Christina), Elizabeth Howell (Caleb), Jessica Inlow (Josh), Amanda Moore, Sara Coley, Matthew Coley, and multitude of great grand-children and great great grand-children.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Owen Peele; three sisters, Roxie Harper, Gladys Lavin, and Lillie Temple. Two sons Frank Coley and Eddie Coley.
