Betty Jo Pietro, age 57 of Glen Burnie, Md., died on May 23, 2024 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Md. Born in Havre de Grace, she was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Elizabeth Haffer Green. She enjoyed working at AIM Insurance, where she was an insurance specialist. She loved spending time in the mountains in Luray, Va., also going to Gettysburg and Lancaster, Pa. She adored her family and her dog Phantom and she loved everything Snoopy.
Mrs. Pietro is survived by her husband James Pietro of Glen Burnie, Md., her son John Pietro of Lakeland, Fla., she was stepmother to Rachel Webber (Keith) and Jimmy, both of Baltimore, Md. She was a grandmother to Andrew Pietro, Dominick Pietro, Keith Weber Jr., Michael Weber and Hailey Pietro; a brother David K. Green (Sue), two sister's Linda A. Pytel (Mike) of Bel Air, Md and Marion E. Nickoles (David) of Sykesville, Md; She is also survived by 1 niece, 3 nephews, 3 great nieces and 3 great nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Lisa A. Jones.
The family will receive friends at the family owned Ruck-Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (at beltway exit 26) on Tuesday, May 28th, 6-8 PM, where a service will be held at 7 PM.
