Betty "Bunny" Pordash, 85, of Cokeburg, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in Peters Township Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Pordash was born October 8, 1937, in Cokeburg, a daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Matosky Merichko.
Catholic by faith, Betty was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish. She also enjoyed playing bingo, plastic canvas stitching and making sure to always attend her sons' sporting events.
She had held positions in bookkeeping, and sales at Black Box Corporation, as well as United Cerebral Palsy of Pittsburgh.
Surviving are two sons, Andrew "Andy" Pordash of Scenery Hill, and David Pordash of Cokeburg; four grandchildren, Joey Pordash of Monroeville, Justin Pordash of Bentleyville, Brittany Pordash of Pittsburgh, and David Pordash Jr. (Brittany) of College Station, Texas.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Michael "Pikey" Merichko, and Andrew Merichko.
Friends will be received from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 23, in the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 24, with Deacon John Kist officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Bentworth Football Boosters, P.O. Box 118, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
