Betty RENFORD Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of Betty Ellen Renford. She was born April 10, 1927, in Dwight, IL, to Ernest and Martha Johnson. Betty married Jack on January 17, 1950, and they were married for 64 years, until Jack's passing in 2014. She was a stay-at-home mom to John and Sharon. Betty was the ultimate volunteer, active in Lutheran Church Women, PTA, Sons of Norway as well as Boy and Girl Scouts. She was a devout Christian and cherished friend. Betty passed away October 20, 2023, at her home at Rockwood at Whitworth. She was preceded in death by Jack, daughter Sharon and brothers Ken, Don and Russ. Betty is survived by son John (Peggy), granddaughters Andrea (John) and Erika, great-granddaughter Faith (Bruce).

Our special thanks to the staff at Rockwood at Whitworth and Hospice of Spokane for their care and kindness.

Her memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, November 3rd at All Saints Lutheran: 314 S. Spruce in Spokane, 99201. Memorials may be sent to All Saints Lutheran or Hospice of Spokane P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210.

I am not even sure where to begin, Betty was such a unique and wonderful person. she had a smile that would light up a room. I was lucky enough to have her in my life for several years and I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
