Betty Darlene Fulton Rierson, 80, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025. She was born May 12, 1944, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Everett and Sadie Hole Fulton. Darlene was kind and selfless, putting the needs of her family and neighbors first. She received great joy and shaped numerous lives through the in-home day care she ran for over 25 years in Summerfield, NC. Her grandsons brought her much pride and happiness. They will be forever grateful for her love and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Surviving are daughter, Stephanie Welton (Robert) and grandsons, Ryan and Thomas.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Everett Fulton; mother, Sadie Hole Fulton; brothers, Joe Clarence Fulton, Glenn Ray Fulton, Sam Fulton; sisters, Virginia Hutchins, Inez Holland and Margaret Wilson.

The family extends a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center Radiology Department who cared so much for Betty Darlene over the last few years.

Friends and family are invited to gather for remembrance from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM prior to the funeral service, and a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Hayworth-Miller Kernersville on Thursday, March 27, 2025, conducted by Pastor Charles Arnold. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church, 2715 Brame Rd, Greensboro, NC 27405 or the American Liver Foundation
