Betty Sanford Obituary
Betty Maureen "Molly" Montgomery Sanford was born on August 30, 1939 in Bath Springs, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jay Hugh and Reba Ivy Montgomery.
She was united in marriage to James D. Sanford, who preceded his wife in death on April 1, 2013.
Mrs. Stanford worked for Michael's Sportswear as a seamstress. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, quilting, puzzles, games, and listening to country music. She loved the Tennessee Volunteers and spending time with her family. Molly was a member of Saltillo Baptist Church in Saltillo, Tennessee and was recently attending Red Walnut Church of Christ in Bath Springs, Tennessee.
Betty Maureen "Molly" Montgomery Sanford departed this life on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 2 days.
She is survived by her son, Jamie Sanford of Memphis, Tennessee; sisters, Polly Bishop, Melba King, Trissia Goff, and Linda Kirby; and brothers, Paul Montgomery, Ricky Montgomery, and Jeff Montgomery.
In addition to her parents and husband, Molly was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shelly Sanford.
