Betty Schmuke Obituary
She is survived by two daughters: Christy Geasland and Nancy Schmuke, both of Leslie; one son, Doug Schmuke and wife Fay Brockway of Union; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Tom Maune and wife Jane of Washington; sister-in-law, Shirley Maune of Washington; brother-in-law, Larry Stuckenschneider of Union; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Schmuke; one grandson, Jeremy Allen Snodgrass; her parents, Aloys and Elizabeth (nee' Gildehaus) Maune; seven siblings: CJ Maune, Whip Maune, Virgil Maune, Jim Maune, Gerry Piontek (Leonard), Alberta "Bert" Breckenkamp (Robert), and Millie Overschmidt (Clarence).
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at St. Joseph Neier Catholic Church in Union with Rev. Peter Blake officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Joseph Neier Church.
The Schmuke family is served by Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.
