Northfield - Betty Jean (Tralle) Schultz passed away on February 10, 2026. Betty was born on July 4, 1974 in
Northfield, MN to Roger and Beverly Tralle. Betty graduated from Northfield High School in 1992. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom, on August 26, 1995. They made their home in Northfield, where they raised two wonderful children: Tessa and Andrew. Her family was her greatest joy and the center of her world. She poured her heart into her home, always making sure her family felt loved, supported and encouraged. Betty earned her degree in nutrition, a reflection of her passion for caring for others. She dedicated herself to helping people and was always the one friends and family turned to for advice, recipes and encouragement. Betty held various positions in Northfield, most recently, St Olaf College. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she had a deep love for bowling. Whether competing in leagues, celebrating victories, or simply enjoying time with family and friends at the alley, bowling brought her joy and lifelong friendships. She was known not just for her skill, but for her sportsmanship, laughter and the way she lifted up those around her. Camping was not just a hobby for Betty, it was where she felt at home. Whether sitting beside a crackling campfire, watching the sunrise over a quiet river, or sharing stories under a sky full of stars, Betty embraced every moment. To know her was to love her. She was strong yet gentle, determined yet compassionate. She was the kind of friend who showed up without being asked and who loved without limits. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom; her devoted son Andrew (Grace Dibble); mother Beverly, father-in-law John Schultz; sisters Dolly (James) Larsen, Katie (Jerry) Kirgis, Bobbie Johnson, Tina Simon, Cari (William) Mcgeough, Susie (Adam) Aldrich; brother-in-laws Tim Schultz, Jason (Heather) Schultz; her childhood friend Holly Hubers; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Tessa; father Roger; mother-in-law Diane Schultz; nephew Alex Larsen and great-niece Sophie Washa. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Bierman, Benson & Langehough Funeral Home on February 17, 2026 from 3:00-7:00pm. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she gave, and the memories that will forever be treasured. Arrangements are with the Bierman, Benson, & Langehough Funeral Home of Northfield.
