Beverly Moore

Beverly Joyce Moore, 81, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 6:28 pm February 25, 2026 at Deaconess Crossroads Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was born October 28, 1944 in Vancouver, Washington to the late William H. and Doris E. (Dulaney) Spillman. Beverly married Terry Moore on December 8, 1962 in Mount Vernon at East Salem Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2021.

Beverly is survived by her children, Thomas Moore and Christy Hulvey and husband, Mike, all of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Erica Capps and husband, Josh, Tyler Hulvey and wife, Kelsie, Brooke Poninski and husband, Hayden, Blake Moore, Abbie Moore, and Maddie Moore; Eleven Great-Grandchildren; brother, Gary Spillman and wife, Dee of Northfield, Minnesota; sister, Gail Rightnowar and husband, Bob of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cady L. Moore.

Beverly was a devoted Christian her entire life. She worked for many years as a secretary for Mount Vernon Township Highway Department. Beverly was a mom and granny to many more than just family.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn, Illinois with Pastor David Houseworth officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Beverly's honor to D and Z Hope for Kids, in care of Dylan Williams, and will be accepted at the funeral home or Venmo @dylanwilliams25.
