Betty Mae Sharer, 91, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on January 15th, 2026, in her home surrounded by family. Born in Quakertown, Betty was the daughter of the late Harold E. Mease and the late Dorothy V. Mease (Dimmick).
She began working at Tuttleman’s Shirt Factory in Quakertown. Betty and her husband Floyd built and opened their own store, Sharer’s Sport Shop, in Milford Township. She had a passion for life, in her free time, Betty enjoyed hunting, knitting, riding their motorcycle, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Earlier in her life Betty became blind during pregnancy, at the age of 30. Later in her life she helped raise both of her Grandchildren and both of her Great Grandchildren. She also was a full-time homesteader and took care of the home and family. Betty was involved with the Milford Township Fish and Game and would prepare food and help with all the events. She was a volunteer at East Swamp Church and managed the nursery and babysat. Betty was happiest when she was spending time with her family.
She always had a special place in her heart for their Mountain House that she and her husband Floyd both built together. Above all else, she loved her family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
Betty will be dearly missed by her husband, Floyd, together they shared 68 loving years of marriage together; her daughter, Kathleen Fluck and Husband Michael. Her grandson, Keenan Kade and girlfriend Geena Gundersen. Her great-grandchildren, Sophia and Kenzie. In addition to her parents, Betty is predeceased by Sister Thelma P. Rapp, Brother Harold E. Mease Jr., her beloved dog and companion, Daisy. And most importantly, her beloved Granddaughter, Karisa Lauren Kade.
All are invited to attend and pay respects to Betty and family on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Viewing will be from 10:00am-11:00am and Funeral service will begin at 11:00am, located at East Swamp Church, 2405 E. Swamp Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. Following the service, her burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery located at 5900 Applebutter Hill Road, Coopersburg, PA 18036.
Following burial, a luncheon will be provided at East Swamp Church post service and burial. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty’s name may be donated to East Swamp Church.
