Betty Singleton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home - Midwest City on Oct. 1, 2025.
Betty Ann Singleton, 92, passed peacefully on June 16, 2025, entering the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born fourth of five children to Andrew J. and Genevieve Nealy. Betty married Edward Singleton on April 3, 1954, at their home church, Kelham Avenue Baptist. Betty taught children's Sunday School during the time her children were attending, Vacation Bible School and ultimately, adult Sunday School classes. Throughout their 70 years of marriage Ed and Betty were actively involved in each church they called home. Betty worked as an Office Manager for several different companies throughout her career and retired from Riley Electric Log, Inc. in the 1990's. Betty had always been a gifted seamstress making clothes for her daughter Nancy from birth through middle school, and a number of outfits for her Barbie doll as well. This sewing ability was channeled into quilting after retirement. She showed a keen interest in flowers, plants and birds, giving house room to many plants, and backyard space to flowers and birdhouses.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Nealy and Genevieve Kinsey and her husband Edward Singleton. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Singleton of OKC, son Steven Singleton, and his wife Amy, of Choctaw, OK; sister Vi Cornelius of Texas; grandchildren Jason Brockman, Sallie Brockman, Nathan Singleton, Kimberly (Singleton) Boyle and her husband John; and Great Granddaughters Kayla Brockman, Annabelle Brockman, Jolene Schaub, and Oakley Boyle.
