Graveside service for Betty Smith, age 81 of Cumby, Texas will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 , at Brashear Cemetery with Bro. David Burns officiating. Come and go visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home. She passed from this life on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation.
Betty Smith was born on December 4, 1941, in Dallas, Texas. Betty married Rayburn Dale Smith on October 6, 1962 in Brashear, Texas, he preceded her in death in 2013. She was a member of Brashear Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Ricky Smith (Natalie) and Timmy Smith (Na); one daughter Debbie Gomez, grandchilden, Tyler Smith (Brittani), Landry Smith, Delaina Leary (Ryan), Coty Smith, Justin Varner, Tanner Gomez (Brittany), Brandon Gomez (Hanna), Lacie Gomez, Natalie Khamvongsa, Nina Khamvongsa,; great grandchildren, Sawyer Smith, Gavin Moss, Bub Leary, Scarlett Gomez; She is also survived by one brother, Harvey Perry (Judy); One Sister, Doris Erickson; Two Sisters In Law, Carolyn Vaughan and Lisa Smith; One Brother In Law, Carl Smith (Donna).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Smith; parents, Rayburn and Nancy Smith; son in law, Sammy Gomez and brother, Alvin Perry.
