Graveside service for Dama R. Kirkpatrick, age 93 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 1:00P.M. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Shane Carrington officiating. Josh McPherson, David McPherson, Hunter McPherson, Cody Smithers, and Dale Brown will serve as pallbearers and Tanner McPherson and Cheyenne Smithers will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 11:30 to 12:30P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Kirkpatrick passed away on January 5, 2026 at Carriage House Manor in Sulphur Springs TX..

Dama was born on April 10, 1932, in the Adrian Community in Hopkins County, Texas to Arie and Grace (Shelton) Wilhite. She married Bert Kirkpatrick. Dama retired from H.D. Lee. Dama was so in love with all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Mcpherson, Lisa Smithers (Cheyenne), Debbie Clater (Jim), Donna Brown (Dale); grandchildren, William David McPherson and wife, Kitney, Amy Derousse and husband, Jason, Josh McPherson and wife, Kristen, Candice Cabaniss, D. J. and wife, Stephanie, Jessica Goldsmith and husband, Michael, Cody Smithers, Amanda Jenkins, Christy Anderson and husband, Jon, Shonna Hawks, and Beverly Henderson; sisters, Wanda Elliott, Lou Bills and Betty Patterson; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Dama was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Bert; daughter, Debra Sue Free; son, David Free; daughter-in-law, Gina Free; sisters, Louise Smith and Alene Wilhite; brothers, Denis Wilhite, Claude Wilhite, Terry Don Wilhite; brothers-in-law, Danny Elliott, Pat Patterson, and Lonnie Bills; grandson, Chad Henderson.
