Betty L. Stear, age 88, of Clayton, NC, formerly of McKeesport, died November 5, 2024, at SECU Hospice House. Born March 15, 1936, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Milligan) Little.
Betty retired from McKeesport Hospital after an amazing 40 year nursing career where she touched many lives. Betty loved spending time with her family, especially traveling and sightseeing with them. She also enjoyed music, loved to sing and being part of the church choir. While at home, putting puzzles together, reading and playing computer games were her favorite hobbies.
Betty is survived by her children, Ron (Donna) Stear and Missy (Joe) Borkowski; grandchildren, JC Borkowski, Kenzie Borkowski, Zak Stear, Maddie Stear, Cortney (Russ) Petit, and Ashley (Edgar) Valdes; great-granddaughter, Cali Petit; sister, Shirley Maurin.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, William Little.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
