Betty J. (Bach) Stockdell, 92, of Peru, passed away, Sunday, March 5, 2023 at St. Margaret's Health, Spring Valley.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 10, 2023 at Peru City Cemetery, Peru with Rev. J.A. Small of St. Valentine's Church, Peru officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Betty was born September 16, 1930 in Spring Valley to Joseph and Minnie (Taliani) Bach. She was one of 11 children. She married Gale Stockdell on June 10, 1950 at St. Anthony's Church in Spring Valley. Betty worked at Westclox until it closed in 1981 and then became a homemaker. She was a member of St. Valentine's Church in Peru.
She is survived by three sisters and two brothers, Jean Just of Peru, Eleanor Wozniak of Peru, Marie Harrison of Bureau, David Bach of South Carolina and Paul (Debbie) Bach of Dixon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale on January 2, 2006; her parents; a brother, Raymond Bach and four sisters, Caroline Farrell, Julia Chorzempa, Lena Glynn and Nancy Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the donor's choice.
