Betty Lou Stutler, 92, of Lost Creek passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025.

She was born in Grafton on August 23, 1933, a daughter of the late John Ray Richards, Sr. and Nina Steele Richards.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie K. "Jim" Stutler whom she married on October 12, 1951; five sons, Tracy K. Stutler and his wife Debby of Sagle, Idaho, Bradley S. Stutler and his wife Terri of Jane Lew, Kevin Stutler and his wife Linda of Lost Creek, Kermit Stutler and his wife Debbie of Lost Creek, and Ben Stutler and his wife Christine of Brunswick, Georgia; two daughters, Nina Mathews Murphy and her husband Marty of Good Hope and Jennifer Stutler of Lost Creek; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and five sisters; four grandchildren, Lucas Scott Stutler, Kenneth Ryan Stutler, Amanda Marie Stutler and Hope Ireland Kees; and one son-in-law, Terry Mathews.

Mrs. Stutler was a graduate of Unidis High School and attended Salem College for 2 years. She was a member of the West Milford Baptist Church where she was a former choir member and secretary/treasurer of the church.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:00 am with Bruce Boulden officiating. Interment will be in the Sheets Mill Cemetery in Sheets Mill, Rt. 270 between Lost Creek and West Milford.
