Betty Noland Taggart

Betty Noland Taggart, age 72, of Columbus, MS and formerly of Carrollton, AL died November 20, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shawn McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Carrollton City Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pat Noland and two granddaughters, Elizabeth Lynn Hobbs and Mary Pat Hobbs.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Taggart of Columbus, MS; daughter, Melissa Hobbs and husband, Bryan of Saltillo, MS; sister, Vicky Noland Fitch of Northport; brother, James M. Noland and wife, Susan of Sugarland, TX and two grandsons, Noland Adam Hobbs and Henry Adam Hobbs.
Betty was born February 11, 1953 in Pickens County, Alabama to the late James Charles Noland and Wiletta Bonner Noland. She was a member of Carrollton Church and was the PACE Instructor at Thrive 4 Fitness in Carrollton, AL.
Pallbearers will be Marty Taggart, Tim Taggart, Alex Taggart, Sid Spencer, Keith "Booty" Cox, Mike Shufflebarger, Patrick Noland and Wyatt Buice.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials for Betty be made in memory of Mary Pat Hobbs to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, 848 Adams Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103.
