Betty Jo Trammell 86, of Wichita, Ks. died January 7, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Betty was born October 8th, 1939 in Wayton, Arkansas to Reed and Elsie (Ramsey) Henderson. She was reared and educated in Parthenon, Arkansas, graduating from high school in 1958. Later that year she married Bill E. Trammell and they made their home in Wichita, Ks, raising 3 sons while Bill worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company. Betty worked for many years in the cafeteria at Truesdell and South High, retiring in 1995. Betty and family were faithful members of Westside Freewill Baptist Church and her life was defined by her faith in God. She was a people person who enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. After her husband, Bill passed away in 1996, Betty married Stephen White. They spent winters in Texas and loved traveling across the United States, even venturing to Hawaii and Alaska.
Survivors include her three sons, Rocky (Robin), Roddy and Russell as well as 5 grandchildren, Natasha (Nick), Vanessa, Brianna. Noah (Kayla), Seth, and 10 great grand-children, Dean, Logan, Cole, Summer, Ruby Jo, Eli, Vincent, Gunner, Gannon and Sebastian. Survivors also include a number of beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and 7 siblings.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Monday, January 12, 2026 at Legacy Worship Center, 3310 W. McArthur Rd, Wichita, Kansas 67217.
