Betty Watts Obituary
Mrs. Watts was born on Sept. 4, 1935, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Jesse Tow, Sr. and Minnie McCarter Tow. She retired from working in home health and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Young and Eddie Watts; daughter, Kathy Harkins; grandson, Taylor Harkins; sisters, Hazel Winkler, Barbara Dyer, Edna Jarrard; brother, Russell Tow.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Rev. Danny and Ginger Harkins, Lamar Harkins, Darrell "Butch" Harkins, Wanda and Ed Watts, Jimmy and Amy Harkins, and Tim Harkins; brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Virginia Tow; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Harkins officiated. Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, at the funeral home.
